Play
to Commemorate Piper Alpha.
A new play titled "Lest We Forget", commissioned by the chief executive
of Aberdeen Performing Arts, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the
Piper Alpha Disaster, opened at the Lemon Tree Studio Theatre in
Aberdeen on 2 July 2008 and played to packed houses until Sunday 6 July
(the 20th anniversary.
The cast was Jamie Begg (Steven), Fraser
Sivewright (Kenny), Michelle Bruce (Lorraine) and Anne Kane Howie
(Paula)and the play was directed by Suzanne Lofthus.
A further production is planned for May 2009, returning briefly to the
Lemon Tree before going on tour, ending up at Dundee REP. Full
