Play to Commemorate Piper Alpha

Lest we forget

A new play titled "Lest We Forget", commissioned by the chief executive of Aberdeen Performing Arts, will commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Piper Alpha Disaster, running from 2 to 6 July 2008 (the 20th anniversary) at the Lemon Tree Studio theatre in Aberdeen.

Mother Goes to Glasgow

The Mary Slessor musical play "Mother of all the Peoples" will be performed by the Dundee cast at the Mitchell Theatre, Glasgow from 15 to 18 October 2008. Prior to then the cast will be producing a new and extended CD of the music.

Following the success of "MOTHER OF ALL THE PEOPLES" at Dundee Rep in June 2006 (where it played to packed houses and raised over £9000 for the Mary Slessor Foundation), Hame Productions have been invited to stage "FIVE POUND AND TWA BAIRNS" at the theatre from Thursday 14 to Saturday 16 June 2007.


Dundee Law To Premiere At The Byre

Five Pounds and Twa Bairns

The premiere of "SUNDAY MORNINGS ON DUNDEE LAW", a new musical play by Mike Gibb with music by Kevin Walsh, will take place at the Byre Theatre, St Andrews, the show running from Wednesday 2 to Saturday 5 May 2007.


Writers Honoured by Dundee City Council

Civic Reception at Dundee City Council

The writers of "Mother of All the Peoples" and "Five Pound And Twa Bairns", Mike Gibb and Mairi Paton, were honoured by Dundee City Council for their work with a Civic Reception, hosted by the Lord Provost, for the writers, director John Nimmo and the cast and crew of both productions.

It was held in the City Chambers on Thursday 16 March and both casts performed songs from the respective shows to an invited audition.
